Ed & Taylor – European Festival Run

The Ed& Taylor – European Festival Run was a project that embodied Eventech’s ability to deliver sleek, efficient solutions for modern touring. With nine shows across five European countries, the run required a production setup that could move quickly, adapt to different festival infrastructures, and maintain the same high level of quality throughout. For Eventech, the challenge was to design a system that was both compact and powerful, providing consistency without the burden of a large touring footprint.

Transport was at the heart of the brief. Eventech supplied a splitter van, carrying the five band members alongside their sound engineer and the full control package. This meant that the entire tour could move as one unit, reducing costs and simplifying logistics while ensuring that the musicians and crew travelled together. The arrangement also gave the team the agility to navigate varied festival sites across multiple countries, from major urban locations to rural fields.

The production system was built around Dante technology, chosen for its flexibility, reliability, and compact design. At its centre was the Yamaha DM7 Compact console, selected specifically because many of the festival stages had limited space. The smaller footprint of the desk provided all the power of a full-size system while remaining manageable for quick setups and tight stage plots. By minimising the footprint without compromising on capability, Eventech delivered a rig that met the highest technical standards while remaining easy to transport and deploy.

The results spoke for themselves. Across all nine shows, spanning five countries, the production was consistent, efficient, and highly praised by festival organisers. In fact, client feedback consistently highlighted that the Eventech system was the most efficient and reliable touring package they had encountered. Festivals operate under tight schedules and constant changeovers, and Eventech’s ability to provide a streamlined, plug-and-play solution meant that the Ed & Taylor performances were never held back by technical delays.
