The PTR Ball 2025 at The Belfry

The PTR Ball 2025 at The Belfry

Full-service AV, lighting, and staging delivered for PTR’s flagship charity ball, headlined by The Indianas.

The PTR Ball 2025 at The Belfry marked another milestone for one of the UK’s most high-profile charity events. Hosted by the road safety organisation PTR, the ball drew distinguished guests and supporters from across the country. With headline performances from The Indian as, it promised a night of glamour, entertainment, and purpose. Eventech was once again entrusted to deliver the full technical production, providing a seamless360-degree solution that ensured the evening was as impactful visually and sonically as it was socially significant.

The Belfry’s ball room is renowned for its character, but it also presents unique acoustic challenges. Its shape and layout are not naturally suited to concert-style sound reinforcement, demanding careful design and deployment to achieve the right result. Eventech installed a full d & b PA system supported by strategically placed delay lines, ensuring consistent audio coverage throughout the space. Priority was given to the dance floor, the beating heart of the evening, where guests experienced crystal-clear sound and powerful coverage that kept energy levels high all night.

Beyond sound, Eventech transformed the ballroom’s look and feel with a custom truss system and an imaginative lighting design. Eighteen moving heads, paired with a dedicated control package, created versatile lighting states that shifted seamlessly from elegant dinner ambience to dramatic concert effects. This dynamic approach enhanced every element of the evening, from speeches to the headline set by The Indian as, and gave the room an elevated, high-end atmosphere.

Staging was another critical element. Working alongside one of its trusted staging partners, Eventech installed a tailored stage solution that provided the perfect platform for performers and speakers alike. By integrating staging with audio and lighting, Eventech ensured that PTR had a single point of contact for the entire production, delivering a stress-free solution for organisers and a flawless result for guests.

The 2025 edition of the PTR Ball drew praise from both organisers and attendees. Johnny Raynor, the promoter and organiser of the event, described it as “the best year yet,” highlighting not only the visual transformation of the ballroom but also the exceptional sound quality. He noted that the audio was “at a different level this year,” a testament to Eventech’s commitment to continual improvement and attention to detail.

For Eventech, the PTR Ball is more than a technical contract. It is an opportunity to showcase the company’s philosophy: combining creativity, precision, and reliability to deliver an unforgettable experience. By taking responsibility for every element of production, Eventech allowed PTR to focus on its mission of raising awareness and funds for road safety initiatives, confident that the technical side of the event was in expert hands.

The result was an evening that achieved its charitable purpose while providing guests with an extraordinary experience. With The Indian as headlining and Eventech’s full production support behind them, the PTR Ball 2025 was a triumph of partnership, professionalism, and technical excellence.
